Cheerleader

When I was younger I use to pretend to be a cheerleader. Well now I get to help you cheer people on.

The Scripture can help to cheer you on:

"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." John 16:33
"And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome." Acts 23:11
"But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid." Matthew 14:27

We should cheer each other on in life
I think of when Moses encouraged Joshua to be of good courage
 "And Moses called unto Joshua, and said unto him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou must go with this people unto the land which the Lord hath sworn unto their fathers to give them; and thou shalt cause them to inherit it." Deuteronomy 31:7

Be a cheerleader for others. Here are a few ways:
1)Send an encouraging text
2)Share a smile
3) Tell someone good job when they have done a good job.

Be a part of someone's good day!

There are people in my life who help to cheer me on.
My niece is one. She is always happy to see me. I love the "Aunt Beth" greeting that I get.

I think of a few of the children in my class I have had in my past.  One of the moms would say "You look good" or "You are doing a good job"  That helps brighten up my day.

I have good friends that send me scripture throughout the week.

Being a cheerleader, does not mean you will always be on the top side of life  but we can go to the Scripture to encourage us.  When I find something encouraging in Scripture, I like to share it with others.
"And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace" Luke 8:48

 "The best way to cheer yourself up is to cheer someone else up"

🎶Help somebody today,
Somebody along life’s way;
Let sorrow be ended, the friendless befriended,
Oh, help somebody today!🎶

Be a Jonathan

And Jonathan Saul's son arose, and went to David into the wood, and strengthened his hand in God.
17 And he said unto him, Fear not: for the hand of Saul my father shall not find thee; and thou shalt be king over Israel, and I shall be next unto thee; and that also Saul my father knoweth" 1 Samuel 23:16-17

We all need to be strengthened in God. The strength we are to give each other is strength in God, not in ourselves.

Pray for your friends. We don't always have to knoe thr details. God does. Lift your friends up in prayer.

Remind each other about the promises of God that are especially suited for each other's need.

Reach out in kindness and love and try to be as understanding as possible.

Speak words of mercy, grace, peace, life, faith, and blessings

As you learn how to encourage others in the Lord, let it become a natural part of your life. You can strengthen people even when they’re not experiencing something that “big” — just let them know you’re thinking of and praying for them. It can

🎵Look all around you, find someone in need,
Help somebody today!
Tho' it be little--a neighborly deed--
Help somebody today!

Chorus:
Help somebody today,
Somebody along life’s way;
Let sorrow be ended, the friendless befriended,
Oh, help somebody today!

2 Many are 'waiting a kind, loving word,
Help somebody today!
You have a message, O let it be heard,
Help somebody today! (Chorus)

3 Many have burdens too heavy to bear,
Help somebody today!
Grief is the portion of some everywhere,
Help somebody today! (Chorus)

4 Some are discouraged and weary in heart,
Help somebody today!
Someone the journey to heaven should start,
Help somebody today🎵

Good things to remember in storms/hard times

“ For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” Psalm 30:5

🎶 Hold On My Child, Joy Comes In The Morning,
Weeping Only Lasts For The Night;
Hold On My Child, Joy Comes In The Morning,
The Darkest Hour Means Dawn Is Just In Sight🎶

Hard times do not last forever. Especially for us as Christians we can know that it won’t last forever. What we face on earth is temporary. When we go through the hard times, God walks right along with us holding our hand. He never leaves!

🎶 Oft times the day seems long, our trials hard to bear,
We’re tempted to complain, to murmur and despair;
But Christ will soon appear to catch His Bride away,
All tears forever over in God’s eternal day.

Refrain:
It will be worth it all when we see Jesus,
Life’s trials will seem so small when we see Christ;
One glimpse of His dear face all sorrow will erase,
So bravely run the race till we see Christ.

Sometimes the sky looks dark with not a ray of light,
We’re tossed and driven on, no human help in sight;
But there is one in heav’n who knows our deepest care,
Let Jesus solve your problem – just go to Him in pray’r. 🎶

Be encouraged that we can go to God in prayer!

“ Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16

Burdens are lifted at Calvary! We can take our burdens to the Lord and leave it there!

Keep looking up to Jesus.

The storms in our life won’t last forever. Jesus can help calm those storms in our life!

“Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses.” Psalm 107:19

“ He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.” Psalm 107:29
