Praying for one another

 Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2

Praying for one another is so important. We may not always be able to physically be there for a person when they have a burden. We can be there through prayer and encouragement.

 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” James 5:16

It is always an encouragement to know that I have others that pray for me on a daily basis.
I keep a weekly prayer list and each morning I go through that list. Having a prayer list has helped me in being able to pray for others.
Take the time this week to pray for someone. Then let that person know after you have prayed 😀

Keep on praying
“Just keep on praying “Till light breaks through
The Lord will answer, will answer you
God keeps His promise, His Word is true- Just keep on praying “Till light breaks through” “

God Gives A Song

Thankful that God gives songs and good reminders when going through a trial. Just wanted to share a few songs God has given me this week:

“Jesus knows all about our struggles,
He will guide till the day is done;
There's not a friend like the lowly Jesus–
No, not one! no, not one!“

🎶1 I must tell Jesus all of my trials;
I cannot bear these burdens alone;
In my distress He kindly will help me;
He ever loves and cares for His own.

Refrain:
I must tell Jesus!
I must tell Jesus!
I cannot bear my burdens alone;
I must tell Jesus!
I must tell Jesus!
Jesus can help me, Jesus alone.🎶

🎵“He will hold me fast
He will hold me fast
For my Savior loves me so
He will hold me fast” 🎵

“121 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.” Psalm 121:1-2

Then a few good reminders God has given me this week:

1)God is for me not against me

2)God is with me

3)Run to God in troubles and lean on him

Treasures (Part 1)

It is amazing to see how God uses other people to help us even after they have passed on!

When my mom was still living, she kept notebooks. She would write down quotes from devotional books/books. She would write verses down. Over the past couple of years, I have enjoyed finding them. They definitely are treasures.

The other night I was having a hard time. I opened up one of the notebooks. Just to see how the quotes were what I needed to see was neat.
“God allows us to experience the low points in our life to teach us lessons that He could on no other way”
“Even when we don’t understand God’s plans, we must trust them”

My goal has been to keep a notebook of different quotes, sermon notes, verses

To those of you who pray for me and send me verses, thank you!! The encouraging texts and prayers are treasures 😀

When We Face Trials

“ From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” Psalm 61:2

We as Christians sometimes face hard times or go through trials. I have had a trial with my health and then other things happening outside of that.  Some of my health problems causes overwhelming sadness/fatigue/low mood and energy. I can be reading my Bible and praying and still feel “stuck”. Sometimes it can get hard but I keep doing the things I know I am suppose to do. One thing I know for sure is that Jesus goes with me through trials. He is with me each and every day.

When you go through hard times/trial:

1)Stay in God’s Word and Pray.
2)Keep going to church.
3)Remember Jesus goes with you.
4)Stay close to people who feel like sunshine 😀☀️
(I have a few of those people in my life)
5)Never give up. You may have to take some time to rest here and there but don’t give up.
6)Sing/listen to hymns
7)Find people who will pray for you.

I love the song Day by Day

Day by day and with each passing moment,
Strength I find, to meet my trials here;
Trusting in my Father’s wise bestowment,
I’ve no cause for worry or for fear.
He Whose heart is kind beyond all measure
Gives unto each day what He deems best-
Lovingly, its part of pain and pleasure,
Mingling toil with peace and rest.

Verse 2
Every day, the Lord Himself is near me
With a special mercy for each hour;
All my cares He fain would bear, and cheer me,
He Whose Name is Counselor and Power;
The protection of His child and treasure
Is a charge that on Himself He laid;
“As thy days, thy strength shall be in measure,”
This the pledge to me He made.

Created for a Purpose

We are a fearfully and wonderfully made! Our Creator loves and cares for us.

We were created for a purpose!
Our first purpose is to glorify the Lord in everything we do. We should glorify Him not just in the big tasks but in the little tasks. He is worthy of glory, honor and praise!

We should serve the Lord. We should serve the Lord with gladness. “ Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.” Psalm 100:2.
How can I serve the Lord?
Be a witness for the Lord. Be a good testimony wherever you go. Give out Gospel tracts.
Share God’s Word with others.
If you are physically able, find ways you can serve in the church. If you can sing in the choir, sing in the choir. Maybe if you have extra time, volunteer to clean.  If you can’t physically be at an event, pray pray pray. We can all pray!
Be an encouragement. People tell me that encouraging others is my ministry. It does not take too much time to be an encouragement. Encouragement helps others as well as yourself.

We serve God by serving others. Look for ways on how you can serve and be a blessing to others.  While you are serving, remember you are serving the Lord. Your main purpose is to glorify the Lord. Do something that will count for eternity.

I Was Born To Serve The Lord

From the dust of the earth God created man
His breath made man a living soul
Then God so loved this world He gave His only Son
and that is why I love Him so

Chorus
For I was made in His likeness; Created in His image
For I was born to serve the Lord
And I can't deny Him. I will always walk beside Him
For I was born to serve the Lord

My hands were made to help my neighbor
My eyes were made to read God's word
My feet were made to walk in His footsteps
My body is the temple of the Lord

Trusting in the Lord

 Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:” Isaiah 26:4

Trusting in the Lord. I have been wanting to write a post on this now for a few weeks. I am finally getting to it today.
1)We can trust the Lord because he is trustworthy. We may not be able to see the future but the Lord can and He knows what is best.
2)We can trust the Lord because He never fails. He always keeps his promises. Men may fail us but the Lord will never fail. His word will never fail either.
3)We can trust the Lord because He always takes cares of us. He has our best interest at heart. He knows our needs.
4)We can trust the Lord because He never changes. We live in an ever changing world but we can rest assured that the Lord will never change. His Word does not change.
5)We can trust the Lord because He goes with us. He is with us through each and every day. He is with us each step we take in life.

Trust in the Lord=Everlasting Strength
“Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to take Him at His Word
Just to rest upon His promise,
Just to know, "Thus saith the Lord!"
One of my favorite hymns
 Trusting as the moments fly,
Trusting as the days go by;
Trusting Him whate’er befall,

Trusting Jesus, that is all.
