Strength

​Many times in life we have to rely on God’s strength. Thankful that God gives strength! 

“He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.” Isaiah 40:29 

“ I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:13

“ Without Him I could do nothing

Without Him I'd surely fail
Oh, without Him I would be drifting
Like a ship without a sail”!

Christ gives us strength to do the tasks He sets before us.

One of my favorite Bible Verses is Isaiah 41:10

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Isaiah 41:10

“ But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew theirstrength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” 

Isaiah 40:31 

The second verse of He Hideth my Soul: 

A wonderful Savior is Jesus my Lord; 
he taketh my burden away.
He holdeth me up, and I shall not be moved;
he giveth me strength as my day

God gives strength daily! Sometimes we just have to take it one day at a time. Lean on God and his strength. 

Treasures Part 2

​Today would have been my mom’s birthday. I miss her here on Earth especially lately. She is enjoying Heaven and being with Jesus. She was a Godly lady and a prayer warrior. She wrote down in books a list of people she prayed for each day as well as verses. She also kept notebooks. When she was reading books she would write down quotes from books. Those quotes have came in handy during this time in life. 

“The beauty of trusting in a sovereign God is that he sees all things. He knows what doors to open and what to close” 

“Nothing can touch us until it has passed through the will of God and everything that touches us will be used for his glory”

“The Lord may not come when you want Him but he’s always going to be there on time” 

When we feel weighted down by the anxieties of life, The Lord can lift us up and give us an unspeakable comfort”

“You can talk to God because God listens. Even if you stammer or stumble, even if what you have to say impresses no one, it impresses God and He listens” 

Light

It was interesting to find out that my middle name means sun ray or shining light. My word this year is light. I make it a goal to brighten up other people’s life and shine the light of Christ. 

First, remember that the Lord is your light 

“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?“ Psalm 27:1 

Second, shine the light in a dark world 

“That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;” Philippians 2: 15

Third word, be the sunlight/sunshine in someone else’s day. It does not take something big to brighten up someone’s day. It could just be that your share a smile or an encouraging word. Send an encouraging text. 

Make me a Blessing: 

1 Out in the highways and byways of life,
Many are weary and sad;
Carry the sunshine where darkness is rife,
Making the sorrowing glad.

Out of my life may Jesus shine;

Make me a blessing to someone today.​

Leaning on Jesus

“ The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.”  Psalm 18:2

"The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms:" Deuteronomy 33:27a 

When you need God's support, He is there to give support

For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.” 

We can lean on the everlasting arms of Jesus. He will keep us safe.
